About Us
Along with Tilley our Bearded Collie we have been welcoming dog guests at Hylands since 2005. Tilley was joined by Martha in 2015 and Iris came along in 2018. With a life-times experience in dog care we are able to provide a safe, friendly environment that ensures a stress free break for both dogs and their owners.
Shaun was a Police Firearms Officer for 30 years, working closely with police dogs and their handlers, often in difficult situations.
Julie has worked with and been around dogs and horses her whole life and has a deep affinity and intuition with dogs, able to quickly assess and understand individual needs, putting them at ease and enabling them to grow in confidence.
We attend classes in ring craft & handling at South Gloucestershire Dog Training and enjoy showing our beautiful Bearded Collies at shows around the UK whenever we have the opportunity.
Based at Doulting near Shepton Mallet, Somerset with access to wonderful walks in beautiful countryside we are able to offer a pleasant stay for dogs of all ages in our comfortable home..
We provide individual care for individual needs; young and elderly dogs are always welcome. We ensure that owner’s instructions are followed carefully so that a normal routine is maintained and dogs are stress free.
