Hylands Dog Care

Hylands Dog Care Terms and Conditions: 

These Terms and Conditions have been put in place to protect Hylands Dog Care as well as its guests and their owners. 

All new clients must bring their dog for a socialization & familiarisation visit before booking. This gives us the opportunity to ensure dog guests will settle well into the home boarding environment, a chance for you to see our home and facilities, to discuss your requirements and ensure you are happy with our set up and the way we run our dog care services. 

All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations including Kennel Cough immunisation, flea, worm and parasite control treatments. Please bring your current vaccination certificate with you when you visit and ensure your parasite control programme & vaccination details are detailed on the registration form. 

Owners must provide food for their dog for the duration of the stay; this ensures continuity. If food provided runs out during the stay, we will purchase more of the same or similar and charge to your final invoice. 

You are welcome to provide your dog's bed so that he/she feels at home. Please ensure that your dog’s bedding is clean, this will be placed in a room in our home. 

Treats and toys are optional as we can provide these. Hylands dog care will ensure that all property is safely stored during the stay but cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged toys, leads, collars, harnesses or beds. 

We will provide all dogs with an ID badge to wear whilst in our care; this will display our telephone number. 

Puppies and bitches in season by individual negotiation – an extra fee will be charged.

We will not accept entire/un-neutered males over 12 months. (Individual negotiation in exceptional circumstances) 

We cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression towards other animals and people. 

Dogs that are destructive to property in any way will not be accepted. In exceptional circumstances if your dog becomes aggressive or destructive, we will ask you to remove your dog. If this is not possible within a reasonable time, we will transfer them to kennels. Kennel fees and any other costs will be payable by you. You are liable to compensate Hylands Dog Care for any unreasonable damage caused by your dog. 

Should your dog become unwell, we will seek veterinary advice. We will aim to do this at your registered practice but if this is not possible, we will use our local veterinary centre. Owners are responsible for any bills incurred. 

We will not be held responsible for any animals' death.
We will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained by your dog whilst in our care. Your own insurance for your dog is advisable.
We are insured with Cliverton - Public Liability Insurance up to £5 Million. 

We are licensed by Mendip District Council to provide home boarding and day care for dogs. Licence No: LN/009408620 Five star

Please note there may be other dogs staying at Hylands Dog Care at the same time as your dog. 

 

Bookings: 

Before confirmation of a booking, a registration form / terms and conditions will need to be completed & signed. A registration form needs to be completed annually. 

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Invoice will be emailed once a registration form is received. 

Payment of the outstanding balance is due 14 days prior to commencement of the stay. 

Cancellations & changes to bookings: 

The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the booking. 

If you cancel or reduce the length of the stay within 14 days of the date of the original booking, the full amount will be payable as we will be unable to fill the space. 

Once a dog is in our care, we may be able to extend the stay if required, subject to availability, chargeable at normal rates. 

If you return early to collect your dog, we are unable to offer refunds, the original booking fee will be charged. 

Opening hours: 

8am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
Saturday and Sunday by arrangement. We do not offer day care on Sundays. 

Rates:
Day Care: £30 per dog per day
Overnight Boarding: £30 per dog per day + £15 per dog per night. Discount: Dogs from same household £10 per dog per night.

Raw fed dogs: Additional charge of £5 per dog per day

 

Early drop offs and late collections by prior arrangement subject to availability, charged at £10 per hour.

Christmas, Easter Rates, Bank Holiday Rates:-

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Spring & Summer Bank Holidays incur an extra charge of £30 per dog per day in addition to the standard rate.
